Teaching

In the fall of 2010, I am teaching JOU4930, Social Networks and Social Media. The class provides an overview of social media through the following: a survey of some of the most important current services and some of the history of the field; a look at some current trends and how they are affecting us as individuals and as a culture; case studies of how social media are being used in media and corporate environments explored with guest speakers; a hands-on project or social media campaign where students put the concepts they have learned and the discussions they have had into practice.
